The adventures of Dick Whittington and his famous cat are followed with the keenest interest at Kennington, where Miss Hetty King has made herself highly popular as the apprentice who rose to be Lord Mayor. Dick has a dainty partner in Miss Isabel Dillon as Alice. Mr. Johnny Schofield makes Idle Jack a more than ordinarily amusing personage, and Mr. Alfred Lester is unctuously droll as the cook, whose dissertation on how to cook a sausage sends the audience into ecstacies of laughter, even if it does not add to their culinary knowledge.
